How Early Does the Recruiting Process Start for WBC Teams?

There's a different standard depending on what country you're trying to play for. For example team usa i don't think there was really any recruiting done until the wbc was officially announced last summer and then mike trout officially committed. On the other side of the spectrum is japan or korea where they are playing international tournaments every year they are playing together as a team which is another reason why i think j Japan has a very good chance to win this.
