Co-author of a series of papers that examines the political economy factors in the energy transition as a way of projecting how feasible it is. "We've figured out how to solve climate in mathematical models, but now we need to figure out how to climb a change in the real world," he says. His group tackles this by analyzing what type of technologies are depicted in major climate mitigation pathways and then analyze historical and current data on technology use across different scales and indifferent contexts.
