The Unknown Risks of the World
In 1958, two military planes were flying off the coast of Georgia. A B-47 bomber was running a simulated mission along the coast and collided with an F-86 fighter plane. Neither plane exploded, but they were both badly damaged. The pilot of the fighter plane had to eject and let his plane drop into the sea. They only dropped one thing though, onboard was a bomb that weighed nearly 8,000 pounds. And although the military tried to recover it later that year, that mission was a failure. You never know what lies hidden, just beneath the surface.
