The Problem With Our Journalism Today Is That It's Partisan
In 1930, just one third of journalists had a college degree. Today, over 92% of journalists have a college degree and the majority have a graduate degree. The New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, these most progressive outlets, 75% of their interns come from the top 1% of universities. And so that has totally shifted who the news is for because now they're making news for their peers, but their peers are accountants and lawyers and doctors and politicians who they went to school with.
