The Toad and the Rat
The Mole and the rat were invited to a party at Toad Hall. The mole was excited by the prospect of an adventure, but the rat wanted to stick to his old river as he had always done. After some discussion it became clear that they would not be going on the trip after all. But when asked about their plans for lunch in the following day there was no sign of them being able to go ahead with what they'd planned. At this point Toad simply said: 'I don't really care. I only want to give pleasure to you fellows' He then let himself go without saying anything else.
