I don't know whether there's a crime has been committed and clearly the Metropolitan Police don't know, which is why they're doing a scoping exercise. I just feel that the balance has just ticked too far so that papers and the media are just scared of printing someone's name. And we can't really understand exactly what's going on. In essence, the fundamental principle is people do have a right to privacy. And the public does have an interest in understanding how the world really works. This is the idea of privacy versus public interest. You have to weigh one against the other. There are separate issues here about libel, how we got the facts right, and a separate issue
