The roll out of this repression was staggeringly fast. The distance of travel in regression has been fast and terrifying, but we haven't quite reached that stage. However dark the situation is in hong kong, it isn't identical to that prevails on the chinese mainland. i still continue to believe that if you look at history, there is no evidence to the contrary, of the weakness and the inherentstability of dictatorships.
