Theosophy and the Astral Body

People have been surprised that in the early days of theosophy, many people made incomprehensible mistakes with regard to their character. We can then observe that the pupil begins to work on their astral body to draw out the sense organs but that they thereby display much worse habits and temperamental qualities than before they became an occult pupil. This is due to the fact that with the little bit of occult development, which flows from theosophical concepts, the bad sides of the character are pushed to the surface if nothing else happens. But no one should be afraid because of this. We should simply be aware of such things. They should be taken seriously. Let us strive through our strength of character not
