Bonnie rains and her associates thought it would be a perfect night to break into the fbi. They chose a date, march eighth, 19 71, because that was the night joe fraser fought moda lee at madison square garden for the heavyweight championship. As the group planned the break in, bonny would serve spaghetti, then after dinner, a baby sitter would arrive,. The adults would disperse, two at a time to go stak out the fbi building.

In 1971, a woman visited an F.B.I. office in Pennsylvania. She identified herself as a college student interested in learning about opportunities for women in the F.B.I. None of that was true. She was there “to see whether there were security alarms before we could decide if we could break in.”
