The Problem With US Healthcare

The DRG system was first implemented in the like late 70s, maybe early 80s. And then it's created in the private industry, public insurers take it on as sort of a way to adopt the efficient, you know, pro efficiency ethos of better private insurers. Then when AT&T AIDS becomes this massive epidemic, it is very difficult to add something to the DRG system. There is no DRG for HIV at that moment.
