I was very struck when people first started talking about the concept of psychological safety. Something like your battle with cancer is still sort of socially acceptable to talk about as a grief, because it's externally visited upon you. But if you're going through a grief that is more difficult to talk about, maybe because of some sort of personal issue in your life, that's still not okay. And so I don't really know what my question is, other than like, how do we get there and should we get there? Yeah.
Today, in a special bonus episode, we bring you a live conversation between Liz Fosslien and Mollie West Duffy, authors of “No Hard Feelings: The Secret Power of Embracing Emotions at Work,” and our curator Susan Cain. They discuss over-sharing, crying at work, psychological safety, and mocktails that taste like your first kiss.
