In your book, you describe how people come together under the banner of black or white to fight environmental racism. Would you share what you see as the practical implications of this definition for organizing? The main practical implication that i see is that that definition allows people to think about what they're doing in their struggle to improve their lives and find the vulnerabilities that beset them. Rather than compete with other people whose vulnerabilities might be different, to join forces to fight side by side against either continuous vulnerabilities or similar enough vulnerabilities. Because vulnerability to premature death is what matters.
