The Farmer's Grief Consumed Themselves
Every time his wife had a baby, he built a new barn on the property and named it after the child. Yet tragedy struck with number seven. The farmer's grief consumed him. And his seventh barn would be named for the baby and wife he had lost. No work was done. No crops were harvested. No income was made. The farm surrendered to overgrowth and debt and decay as the man slowly withered into madness. In the dark of that madness, the farmer led each of his six living children to the barns for which they were named, one at a time, without knowledge of the other.
