Preparing for an Unknown Future

One of the basic tenets of preparing for an unknown future is saving up supplies. And so with that, we kind of over prepare. It can be stuff that just never gets used ends up expiring. But on the other hand, minimalism, just as the name suggests, is it no extra clothing or toys or extra electronics? You only need, you know, only the things you need, nothing more.
