Lower Decks Pilot Episode
The pilot episode of a television series needs to show the full range of what you're going to experience within the show. This means your pilot is often the most ilent or it has the most romantic gno content. The specific hold open that howard mentioned when we first meet boemler and mariner initially put a lot of viewers off the show because mariner was so extremely mariner, and boumler so extremely boimler. But in order to introduce these two characters, we had to see them at their most extremes to get an idea of what their dynamic would be like throughout the show.
