Cats Communicating With Their Tails

There isn't a lot of formal scientific literature on it. But cats move their tails on purpose with respect to balance, like we would move our arms to get grab something or provide a counterweight. There are six tail muscles on each side of the tail for very precise movements,. And that seems like a lot of muscles. So i feel like there is a lot in cat tails that we don't understand and for some reason haven't looked into. It's just like my usual ways of researching tho ask the science couch question were indof tap as far as using pier reviewed research.
