In 442 AD, Hun brothers Attila and Blader target the fortress city of Nisas. It's a symbolic target because it was the birthplace of Constantine the Great. The decision is strategic too as one road emanating from Nisas leads to Constantinople. Control of this would give any invader a direct route to the gates of Europe's wealthiest cities. A thousand years later, another warlord, Vlad the Impaler, adopted this method of killing as his own.
