What Do You Think Is Going to Make You Happy?

In our last episode with laurie, dan and honiman, we all shared a little something that we thought was going to make us happy, but which actually fell short. And so i'm wondering, as we sort of pivot to look at consumer culture, what impact does that have on your buying decisions? You know, i can think of all the things i've bought that i never bothered to use. Some i never even unwrapped. But at the moment of purchasing them, i think i got a dopomine hit, like, oh, this is going to make me happy. This could be great. But then, why bother?
