Gender Bias in Citation in Medical Research

Women are substantially less likely to be cited in similar articles than those offered by men. The study looked at five thousand 554 articles published in a few top medical journals between 20 15 and 20 18. In the case of the primary author, there would be around a third fewer citations than if it was a man.
