Treat other human beings with vast respect, politeness and goodness. A strong, wise, great human being is one who cares deeply about the welfare of others. Of course, be not a doormat. For sure, if you allow people to take advantage of you some will take advantage of you. That’s obvious so don’t be naive, please. Yet I don’t think that making it all about you will ever bring you the self-honor, happiness and sense of serenity we all long to know. And if you’re good and someone takes from you, you’re the victor—not them. Because you got to be good.
