The Benefits of Singing for Health
When we sing there are quite a lot of different responses from the body. This can include reductions in stress hormones such as cortisol, it can include a reduction in inflammation in our immune system which is associated with depression and many other physical illnesses. So this is about singing having multiple physiological benefits. We're moving into an age now where we recognize that health isn't just the responsibility of our health sector but we're increasingly seeing that other sectors so housing and transport and education they're all having to consider people's well-being.
