Charlotte Perkins Gilman's controversial opinions on eugenics made her work less appealing to more modern feminists. Eugenics was incredibly popular, like Theodore Roosevelt, positive views of eugenics. So I think it's important to acknowledge the things that she did for women, but also the beliefs that she had that are wrong.
