Is There a Budget for Precision Medicine?
Jackie: One of the challenges I see coming up we're so excited about getting our precision medicine programs to that but I worry about health equity. How are we going to make all of this testing and we say, oh, we could get that down to $300 but if the payers aren't paying it. Beth: We need genetic information from all people to be able to make sure that this is is useful and accurate as opposed to excluding a particular population. Jackie: The idea behind that is we cannot design technology that only works on a smartphone and assume that everybody that we manage and treat has a smartphone.
