The Red State Half of the Problem Isn't Going to Work.
Jen Briney: I don't think that a national divorce would practically ever work. The red states tend to, like we collect our money in the federal government and then we redistribute it. It generally goes from blue states to red states. So they're not going to financially do all that well if they slough off New York and California. And there's also just, they would want to split apparently because they don't believe in government. But with that particular mindset, getting what you want is not going to be as pretty as they think it is.
