Kelly's Death Certificate Will Not Say Suicide
The jury concludes that Kelly was unlawfully killed. They say she took her own life after being subjected to months of coercive, controlling behaviour and domestic abuse by her then partner. And they conclude that police failures on that day in July 2017 may have contributed to her death. It's a groundbreaking legal win. And it means Kelly's death certificate will not say suicide. The responsibility for her death has been taken out of her hands. In the eyes of the state, she was killed.
