How to Synthesize Ammonia From Atmospheric Nitrogen

The Harba Bosch process was developed by Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch. It is the first time nitrogen has been taken out of the air itself to be fixed into ammonia. In 1907, BASF purchased the process from Harba and tasked Bosch with attempting to scale it up on an industrial level. They were able to overcome all sorts of obstacles including high temperatures and enormously high pressure.
