The Problem With the Bible
A growing number of people, if we're honest about it, actually have quite a bit of a problem with the Bible. The Old Testament in particular has laws that regulate slavery and put a price on men and women and children. And even in the New Testament, there's quite a few things that are radically at odds with our day and age. This next section in this Sermon on the Mount just might be one of the most important teachings of Jesus for our cultural moment.
