In free living conditions we are not controlling and providing people with an exact dietary intake. But that doesn't mean that there is no utility of this because it could have knock-on effects on caloric intake and potentially body weight or other health parameters. We very much agree that the actual maybe the extent of a feeding and fasting window or even energy distribution across the day isn't causing some physiological benefit due to changing energy expenditure but saying that other things couldn't be impacted by where in the day calories or meals are placed is maybe not the conclusion one should be coming to.
