Passing by in Mark's Gospel
Jesus comes to them around the time of the dawn, walking on the sea. There's a peculiar detail mentioned at the end of verse 48. He meant to pass them by. They, seeing him, are terrified, thinking that he is a ghost. At which point Jesus assures them, gets in the boat with them and the wind ceases. Once again, I think that there are anticipations of his later resurrection here.
