God Is Not Gendered
The Bible uses masculine pronouns when speaking of god, but theologically it's well documented that god is not gendered. "All of our language in some way fails to capture the transcendence of god," says Catlan. When we use the word god instead of perhaps either male or feminine pronouns, it's a reminder that we are creatures,. He is infinite and uncreated, and ther this massive, infinite gulf between him and us.
