NBC is reporting that former President Donald Trump's indictment includes conspiracy charges. We have not confirmed that, but this is what NBC is reporting. In this case, charging a crime as conspiracy makes an easier burden of proof on the prosecutor. If Michael Cohen's part of the conspiracy, and there's nothing he has to benefit from it, he's already served this time in jail, so no one can cut him a deal because that's been done.
Bloomberg Sound On Host Joe Mathieu, Bloomberg Legal Analyst June Grasso and Joshua Kastenberg, Professor at the University of New Mexico Law School, discuss Donald Trump, the first former US president to be indicted, pleading not guilty to 34 criminal counts in the Manhattan district attorney’s case against him, amid an intense national debate over the prosecution.
