You can typically bind an insurance policy within two to three weeks. It really depends upon the status of your deal documents, the depth of your diligence and the ability to negotiate with the sellers. Once you zero in on the insurance company or the underwriter, then the underwriting process kicks off. And it typically takes 10 business days from there on to get the policy in place.
