Kurtland airforce base is surprising for its size and complexity. At 80 square miles and more than 25 thousand employees, kurtland is one of the largest installation of the us Air force. It started in 19 forty five with nuclear weapons arriving at sandia base from las alamos to load unmodified b 29 bombers.
