When the Fed did QE1, 2, and 3 the market said oh my gosh this is going to be inflationary so long. They sell their 10-year treasuries at a rate that was higher than what the Fed was demanding or what they were buying. Therefore supply outstrip demand price goes down interest rate actually goes up. It's because every time the Fed increases rates it's almost like the 10-year comes down even further.
