"I am kind of a detective in a way or I like to think of it as that. So I look for clues on Earth that I can use to reconstruct what Earth looked like back through time," says CNN's John Sutter. "We have these big masses of water when other planets don't, so why do we have oceans?" he asks. The answer is because minerals in the rocks that formed Earth had pockets of water inside them.
