I was like wow Nintendo can just do whatever they want. The backlash to this art direction on the internet back then could have used your positivity and optimism because it was a dark time um. I remember being like this is in line with the kind of cartoony promotional and conceptual artwork we got for all the originals of other games. It's so funny like growing up like reading I G Ed and like reading everyone freaking out about the graphics, he says.
