Are You Just Pulling Returns Forward From the Future?
How much of fire was just born out of the last decade of low interest rates driving up asset prices, allowing people to save and invest at a rate that far exceeded the historical norm? Yeah, they're going to find that out. I also feel like it's a good thing, though. Well, it's a question of, were you really just pulling returns forward from the future? When rates go up, you're pushing returns into the future. And when rates come down, you're pulling returns forward.
