Women in the Russian Military: Formation of the Women's Battalion of Death

This chapter discusses the formation of the first Russian women's battalion of death during World War I. The leader of the battalion, Bocchkereva, aimed to create a highly trained and disciplined unit that would inspire the rest of the army.
