Is Haskell a Variable?

Haskell is a pure programming language. Each function does the same thing every time. There's no global memory that you can mess with or anything like that. The variable name can be confusing in a pure language, because it's not really variable. If you say, X is equal to five, x always needs to be equal to five,. Or else you're a liar.
