Is Airbnb Going Vertical?
During the pandemic, Airbnb focused on its core. So it has hotel tonight, but it doesn't have the kind of reach that the OTAs have. I'm skeptical as to how big of a business that actually is. Do they start going vertical here? That can be the kiss of death. Sometimes we saw what happened when Zillow did that with iBying. But it seems interesting for Airbnb to offer more to its customers who are maybe looking for this, maybe looking for more hotel travel.
