JV it was allowed onto the flight to Canada but he had to hand over his passport. The airline crew said they would give it back to him only once he'd been questioned by immigration in Toronto. At 40,000 feet JV it decided on one last gamble and wrote his real name on a piece of paper along with a short note. He wrote I am a rehingen man from Burma and I am fleeing genocide by its government. Therefore I am asking for your kind assistance here for my application of asylum.
