When we have a lot of voluntary control down here, cause it was a tulip of defence, but up higher it's much more spontaneous. So when we see the cues, our body comes down. The other part is voice, and voice is powerful. If the infant's crying, the mother uses a very prosotic voice, uses gesture and calmness in the baby, calms down and basely turns off the threat reactions. And this is a powerful clue to us in terms of how we can develop stealth like interventions to turn off threat reactions. We can become better parents, better spouses, menters, better terpis.
