The Admiral of the East Coast Fleet During the Cuban Missile Crisis

Admiral Ken Dyer was the fellow in charge of the Atlantic fleet during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He wanted to chase down Russian subs so it would free up more ships for the Cuban blockade. The stories here, if you live in Halifax, Dartmouth, still resound and all boys that grew up in Navy families heard it because he met with our prime minister at the time.
