Is Regulation Helping or Hurting Bitcoin?
Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies are completely decentralized peer-to-peer systems. No government on the planet can stop me from downloading a wallet or mining client to connect to the Bitcoin network. I do feel terribly for anyone that's been scammed out of thousands, and I agree that they should be protected. For now, when it comes to a currency that's new and unpredictable, the best thing you can do is just be cautious.
