The Story of Otto Frank and Hermann Van Pels

Otto Frank was separated from his wife and daughters. Hermann van Pels died of antrocollitis in December 1944 already. His son survived until January when the dead marches started from Auschwitz. Mrs. von Pels had to be put on a train near Desau, Czech Republic after a couple of weeks but she later died at Birkenbelsen.
