How to Deal With the Deep Pain of Eternal Death

The Lord's prayer has a personal dimension to it there are people we know and love who perish due to their own choice to reject God. The way in which many people have been totally put off by what they have seen in the church is an utter scandal. I think part of the renunciation involved in the gospel which is really hard is to say God demands our hundred percent allegiance but he will give us whatever he wants with that. We can't tell the truth as best we can but the signpost isn't pointing into a set of signposts its more about reality than picture language.
