Weight Bias in Health Care

People with obesity are less likely to pursue health care because they're afraid of interactions with fatphobic clinicians. A preponderance of medical professionals have weight bias and that is not helpful whatsoever in helping people get better. 75% of people with obesity after having a poor interaction with a fat phobic clinician refused to diet as a coping mechanism.
