The main rule of clowning, much like improv is that you have to just do what you are invited to do. If you've been invited to walk around on your hands, then to the best of your ability, you have to. Do what matters most without sacrificing everything else. The same thing in clowning tends to be a little bit more physical. It creates a different kind of habit of participation that i have found very useful in all life.
