Choosing Between a Microservice or a GRPC?

When should a user choose between any of these type of technologies in microservice implementation? I tend to start with, right, you've got to have an overlay of your understanding of your non-functionals heart here. The second set of overlays is then what style of communication is most appropriate in the situation you're in. There are some interactions that suit that more request response oriented interaction, and some that mix that event driven. So don't be surprised if you maybe have more than one technology in play.
