In the first generation crisis, Latin American countries were running very large deficits. The European exchange rate mechanism crisis was different in that it's known as the self-evilling crisis. And then just quickly in the Asian financial crisis, that was similar to the firstgeneration crisis because it's emerging markets with one big difference. It was actually a domestic crony capitalism, just unsustainable borrowing from abroad.
